Whisky Fine Art Gallery

The Whisky Art Gallery opened in January, 2008 and is located in the Historic Quarter of Oamaru in the former NZ Loan and Mercantile building. Built in 1882, to the design of Dennison and Grant, this elegantly detailed, three storey Victorian warehouse was built for NZ Loan and Mercantile Company when it was the largest stock and station agency in New Zealand. Currently, the ground floor is home to the Loan & Merc Restaurant (Fleur's other place) and the middle floor houses hundreds of barrels of maturing whisky, lending to the galleries name and unique aroma of whisky, sea breeze and aged building.

The Whisky Art Gallery is located on the top floor with a stunning outlook to the Oamaru Harbor and Penguin colony.
